The Third Rail…
December 5, 2006
I defy any baby-aborting fetus eating lib to even remotely address this question:
There is one issue and one issue only in the abortion debate- is a ‘fetus’ considered a ‘human’?
If yes, almost all abortions must be banned.
If not, then there is a discussion of what excatcly isthe ‘fetus’ and does it have any rights vis-a-vis the mother’s wish to abort it.
So, here comes the Nuke:
If a girl has consensual unprotected sex how in the world and by what twisted logic can she have an abortion?!?!?!
Even if a fetus is not a full fledged human it is considered (or at least one would hope it is considered), at the very least, a mosquito or a rabbit-
Are the Libs pro ‘hunting’ (i.e. a person’s ‘choice’ to kill an animal because he wants to)?
Are they Pro-gun (i.e. a person’s ‘choice’ to protect his family)?
So- here is the Lib position:
1. Must protect animals (no hunting)
2. Must protect enviroment and plants (no pesticides; ‘cool’ toyota prius)
3. Women has consensual unprotected orgy and gets pregnant- abort at will??
The ‘fetus’ is less than a moose??
Where is my vomit bag again!

I have been researching the ethics of abortion extensively. I have not yet read a coherent arguement to allow an abortion. Am I wrong? If anyone can please offer a solid arguement to be pro abortion, I would love to hear it.

Mr. Weiss: We definetly seem to be in agreement on the major issues you have outlined here, but we don’t approach or discuss them in quite the same way. I will submit to you that there are about three major categories of liberals…
The first may indeed be the ‘haters’ that you describe. I also cannot see any other reasons for the venom and rhetoric these individuals produce. I understand your outrage at these types, but may I suggest to you that using similar derogatory comments from the right side of the equation does not enhance any productivity from the “argument”? These individuals want nothing more than attention and a good roll in the mud of slander and insult exchanges. If you seek a pure defaming flame war on your blog, you will indeed find that, but very little more. And I think I can see you want answers and changes, not just mud slinging.
The second category I see are leftist people that are simply ignorant and non-participatory. They are too lazy to look into the full scope of both sides of an issue and attempt to truly develope their own opinion. Therefore, they swallow whole the entire NBC/CBS/ABC/NPR dinner every evening (when they take the time to skip “Wheel of Fortune”) and vote liberal every four years, as told, on their way to the beach or the tanning salon.
The third, and unfortunately very rarest, are liberals who have a strong brain yet decidedly lean left in their views and voting. They are not the “trolls” that your current dialogue is sure to attract, but people that you can engage in a significant and productive discussion. Since I have been blogging, I have found but one of these, and quite recently. Since he follows many of the blogs listed on my link list, as well as traces down commenters on my blog, I suspect strongly he may make an appearance here. You will find him to be very respectful but challenging if he does so. I really enjoy his views, even when we don’t agree, which is more frequent than not.
I entirely share the frustration you display here, Sir. I also agree that you are correct in your displeasure and unacceptance of issues like abortion, wimpy defense of the country, etc.. But I think that you can easily just rely upon facts and history to make and base your very solid argument. To step into a room of condescending insults, however, will get you only unusual instances of commentary that makes any sense or is constructive. I think you want a lot more than that. You have the power here to find a lot more than that with perhaps some slightly toned down approaches to the issues in question.
And that’s my opinon, Sir… for what it is worth! It is also undeniably your blog and you may do any damn thing you wish here! HA!
Thank you for your visit to my blog, your comment, and your participation. Good luck and best wishes!

Thanks for checking out my blog. I agree that we have similar thinking. This blog of yours looks new. Have you just begun or were you blogging elsewhere?

Great post! I agree 100%. One would think that, even assuming we don’t know precisely when a fetus becomes human (as opposed to what? dog? flea?) then it seems that we would want to take the moral high road and not risk murder. But chancing murder is way less important to libs than indulging their libidos with all the restraint of adolescent chimps.

Thanks for the cross-post.
When you hear people crying for abortion rights in the US, listen closely- you can hear them rattling the chains of their souls.
There should be no debate from the Left on baby-killing in this country, since it’s already as cheap and legal as it can possibly be.
While I agree that there are very specific and rare circumstances where an abortion is a necessary medical procedure, it should not be used as second-chance birth control, as it seems to be.

I want to apologize for placing my earlier comment above on the wrong post! I meant for it to be on the next one down, not this one. This was an exceptional post with points well made, much along the lines I was trying to endorse earlier.
Well, anyway, not that I have screwed this all up I will try to keep a more careful finger placed on my trigger. Thanks again for your visit to my site!

I agree with you, but your first mistake is assuming liberals are any kind of clear thinkers. Once you have come to the conclusion that most of them are intellectual morons these issues will not surprise you..in fact you will come to expect it…almost prophesy about their next move. So fight on but don’t let your blood pressure get too high.

Abortion is legal- deal with it. The rights of the fetus do not outweigh those of the mother.
